GOOD TO KNOW

Questions?

Why isn’t it on Google Play yet?

We’re sharing KLIPNOTES as a direct Android beta while preparing for a store release. Google Play and App Store versions are planned, with no confirmed date. The download here is Android only.

Will it work on iPhone?

This APK won’t install on iPhone. An iOS version is planned, but features will depend on what iOS supports. We aren’t promising the same floating-over-other-apps behaviour on iPhone.

Why does it need “Display over other apps”?

That permission lets your note sit above another app. KLIPNOTES does not use it to read the screen, messages, contacts, or passwords. You can switch it off in Android Settings at any time.

Will I lose my existing notes when I update?

This release updates the earlier KLIPNOTE 1.1 and 1.2 apps. Back up your notes, then install it without uninstalling the old app. The first KLIBNOTES app used a different package; copy those notes manually.

What if my floating note disappears?

Some apps hide overlays, and battery management may stop the floating service. Reopen KLIPNOTES or use Menu → Resume pinned notes. Notes remain saved. Automatic restart after a phone reboot isn’t included in this beta.

How do I back up my notes?

Open Menu → Back up notes and choose a file location. Restore adds copies without replacing current notes. There is no automatic cloud backup. Uninstalling deletes the app’s local data, so save a backup first.
